“Hi.  Firstly, I just wanted to say an enormous thank you for making your workshops and advice available online.

Although Somatics seemed in theory to be the answer to my recurring bouts of chronic back spasm, I wasn’t able to do the exercises straight out of the Thomas Hanna book and I might have given up on them but for your free mini course and encouragement.

The way you break down the movements enabled me to at least start doing some of them gently or even just visualise them. After about 3 weeks my lower back had freed up enough  for me to begin to walk outside again without sciatic pain, which I hadn’t been able to do since last February. This so encouraged me that I ordered your somatic workshop so I could continue progressing.

I try to have one long session exercising each day and do some of the basic back exercises first thing in the morning and last thing at night. I have only got through 1 and 2 of the classes so far, but the benefits to date are that I can now walk for 5-10 minutes up the road, travel short distances in a car again, lie on my back comfortably for up to an hour which I haven’t done for over 10 years, get out of painful leg cramps almost immediately, I have no more sciatica, I can breathe in more deeply, and I don’t need painkillers or muscle relaxants to help me get to sleep any more. I feel that somatics, thanks to you, is giving me my life back."
